The Torridon Hotel... a haven of peace
What a wonderful serene spot by a beautiful loch, and the sun shone on us, how had we not discovered this stunning place before... Adorable, black, fluffy, Highland Cattle babies graze in the field in the soft evening light and the reflections in the loch are truly amazing.

A fantastic birthday present
I can't believe a week has gone by already since we arrived at The Torridon. We had such a great time and were very impressed with the professionalism displayed by the staff while at the same time managing to make you feel as though you are the only people in the hotel. The room was fantastic and I got the view I wanted, I couldn't stop looking at it! Thank you thank you thank you, roll on my next big birthday!

Yet another sublime stay....
Hi Dan, Susan and Robert - A massive "thanks" again for another truly perfect stay, every time it gets better and better, is that possible...?!?! Yes!! The rooms look great, and now we've been tempted away from Room 1 (shock, horror!) where will it end?! It was worth the risk though, a gorgeous room (14) and looking forward to 17 next time, which is just as fab! As for the waistline, well that's been totally destroyed by Kevin and the teams' divine treats from the kitchen, again better every time! Take care, Annie & Rik

Thank you Mr Tunnock
Thanks again to you all for a fabulous Hogmanay at The Torridon! What a great bunch of guests too, creating that special atmosphere unique to you. My New Year's resolution as we left, was to give up Tunnocks Tea Cakes for at least a year - I still had one left in my bag thank God which saw off a hypoglycemic episode whilst being bused in a freezing cold coach to Aberdeen to escape the freezing fog at Inverness. So thank you Mr Tunnock!
A great time was had by all and we hope that you are all having a well deserved rest.

Nuts appreciated
You in all your own ways dealt with Margaret’s severe nut allergy in a professional, considerate and fuss free manner. We were both able to quickly relax and enjoy the fabulous setting due to your well considered and executed acknowledgement of her allergy. What a treat to be greeted with a welcome that suggested nothing was a problem nut wise and that you had planned to accommodate this. Even better for me was the fact that where minor amendments from your standard menu were necessary Margaret was not faced with a disappointing option rather a ‘special’ alternative – never has she been so well looked after. Everything else was great and despite the most miserable drive up we will definitely be back – what a find!

Dream Wedding
I would like to thank you all for making our wedding absolutely perfect. Susan and her staff went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed (including endless jugs of milk and plates of the tastiest ham for our toddler). All our guests have commented on what a lovely atmosphere there was for the entire weekend. On a personal note, I have to say that the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in and the food to die for - from breakfast (the kedgeree is now legend in our family) to our celebratory meal. We fully intend to return on our own for our anniversary next year. Thank you all so much once again.

The small touches
It’s the small touches which make the difference – hot water bottle in the bed, hello when you come through the door. Beautiful spot and we left feeling 10o times more relaxed from when we arrived.

Excellent 40th birthday - 15 September 2008
My wife was delighted with her 40th birthday stay at your hotel. Your rooms are beautiful, the food was excellent and the location is fantastic. AS this was the first time I’ve ever managed to keep something from her, it was even better to be able to give her such an enjoyable weekend. Thank you all for a wonderful stay

Top 5 of favourites
I was very impressed with all the staff we came across; restaurant, reception, porter and at breakfast. They all made us feel welcome, relaxed and special. I was also very impressed with the standard of cleanliness, our room was spotless.
I have stayed in many different hotels across Europe but I have to say the Torridon has now entered my top 5 of favourites.

Torridon Stands out
Thank you to all the staff who made my stay last week so happy and memorable. The girls in the dining room, the housekeeping staff were all so pleasant, courteous and helpful certainly making your guests stay at the hotel such a happy one. I think this is what marks out Torridon from so many other hotels.’

Words cannot express
You greeted us as we trudged in from a long car trip and from that moment we felt welcome and comfortable at The Torridon. Words simply do not express the pleasure we felt from our visit. The staff, the elegant building, the rooms, the walking paths – all exceeded our wildest imagination. Our entire Scotland visit was terrific but the two nights at your hotel was as we say ’the icing on the cake.’ I wish everyone could experience the elegant ambiance that you have created.

I smile every time that I remember Torridon’

Since the weekend of 24th May it has become very apparent that all of the wedding guests without exception had an absolutely unforgettable weekend. We have been inundated with thank you notes and comments to that effect ever since.
The faultless organisation, the warm friendly reception, first class catering and excellent service from all the staff combined to make it a very special weekend for us all’

Best yet
Hi Daniel

On reflection Alwynn and I feel that the holiday was the best yet that we have spent at Torridon. Much of the credit must be due to your staff.

We look forward tremendously to our visits and much of the pleasure must be occasioned by the constant caring and friendly atmosphere in the hotel

Great week in sunny Scotland
Had a great journey home - just under 11 hours - still cannot believe that we had 7 dry days - absolutely stunning - as was the food, the hotel and of course the staff!

Many thanks to all who contributed once again to a memorable week in Scotland - as soon as I have managed to obtain some new bow ties, we will arrange our next trip.

Until then, many thanks,

The Best in Scotland
This my second visit to The Torridon. My friend & I discovered it first quite by accident while taking a southbound car tour of the Scottish west coast.
English language, with its mere 500,000 words, contains no superlatives worthy of the experience in my mind: The setting is, well - stunning. The House itself is graceful & sumptuous without having lost the required dash of rusticity. The rooms are perfection, the restaurant absolutely top-notch, and the bar has an amazing collection of rare fine scotch. All the staff I encountered were gracious, friendly &, I thought, comfortably proud of what they had to offer.
I've been fortunate enough to stay in some of the most renowned houses & hotels in the world, but for total impact on & rejunevation of one's being, nothing tops The Torridon.

Thank you
Dear Daniel and Rohaise

We would like to thank you and all the staff for making our stay at The Torridon so enjoyable and memorable. The room was absolutely beautiful and thank you for the upgrade. The staff were very attentive to our needs and I would like to thank everyone who helped me execute my surprise proposal.

I would also like to compliment Kevin Broome and his staff on the excellent quality and presentation of both dinner and breakfast. You wine list was also very extensive.

We must admit it was one of the most relaxing weekends we have had in a long time and we look forward to seeing and returning to The Torridon sometime in the future.

Superb Scottish Hotel
Just back from a weekend stay at The Torridon. This was our second time here in the past 3 years and our stay matched our expectations. This is a first class hotel,In one of the best areas in the country .After a day climbing the mountains roundabout to come back to a cosy welcome, fantastic room ,great service and the best food you will ever get ,is pure luxury. The only slight fault we could complain about was one couple in our group who had booked the same grade of room as the rest of us got one of the last rooms waiting to be refurbished and there was a definate difference in room quality so if booking make sure you get one of the newer rooms which are of an extremely high quality.

Keep up the good work "The Torridon" we will be back.

The Boathouse Rent it !!!!!!!
What a stay !!
We hired the Boathouse, a loch side house owned by The Torridon.
It was magnificent, what a find. All rooms were clean and beautifully presented, and all the details that make a stay memorable were here in abundance.
The hotel staff gave me a wonderful welcome, and were always on hand for quiries or problems (which there were none !!). The staff are really first class.
The area and views from the boathouse were a breathtaking tapestry of uncommon beauty. So were the staff !!!!

I will return again, lovely lovely lovely !!!

Spoilt Rotten
We were interested to see if the new decor in the public rooms were going to spoil the atmosphere of The Torridon and we are pleased to report that it looks fab! Gone is the tired chintz and in with modern fabrics, wall treatments and lots more comfy seating. The whisky bar is much, much better. Very stylish and showing off the amazing aray of single malts to their best advantage.

The ongoing decorative improvements to the rooms are great and add to the overall comfort. Lovely big, comfy beds (with hot water bottle), lots of hot bath water ' straight off the mountain' and masses of Moulton Brown smellies.

The staff , headed by Dan, Rohaise and Robert treat their guests so well that it is a wonder anyone ever leaves - I know we could stay forever! We had a fabulous hogmannay once again with lots of fun with Scottish dancing and swirling tartan! The amazing meals from locally sourced ingredients, are to be highly commended. Ingenious menus kept us happy for our three day stay (the cheese board and homemade pear chutney was to die for) . Can't wait for our next visit!
